Ringu 2 aka The Ring 2, sequel of Ringu Trilogy Movie. In this sequel Ryuji assistant (Ryuji is Asakawa ex-husband in Ringu first movie) Takano Mai investigate by police about the even stranger circumstances of her professor/boyfriend Takayama Ryuji (Sanada Hiroyuki)’s death. They suspect that somehow his ex-wife Asakawa Reiko (Matsushima Nanako) is involved, particularly after the equally strange death of Reiko’s father in similar circumstances. Reiko and her son Yoichi have disappeared and Yoichi has become mute after having watched the cursed video.
After the police investigate her, Mai decides to investigate with her own. She knows the story of the cursed video, but not the reasons behind it. Her first lead takes her to the newspaper office where Reiko used to work, and there she teams up with another reporter, Okazaki (Yanagi Yuurei) who also wants to track Reiko down and learn more about what’s been going on.
Ringu 2 alias The Ring, sekuel dari salah satu film Ringu Trilogi. Didalam sekuel ini, asisten Ryuji (Ryuji adalah mantan suami Asakawa dari film Ringu pertama) Takano Mai di investigasi oleh polisi tentang keadaan yang tidak bisa tentang kematian profesor/pacarnya Takayama Ryuji. Mereka mencurigai tentang keterlibatan Asakawa Reiko, terutama setelah kesamaan keanehan kematian ayah Reiko. Reiko dan anaknya Yoichi tidak diketahui keberadaannya dan Yoichi menjadi bisu setelah menonton video terkutuk tersebut.
Setelah polisi menginvestigasinya, Mai memutuskan untuk melakukan investigasi dengan caranya sendiri. Dia mengetahui tentang video terkutuk, namun tidak mengetahui penyebab kutukan tersebut. Penyelidikan ini membawanya kekantor koran tempat Reiko biasa berkerja, dan disana dia bergabung dengan reporter lain, Okazaki yang ingin mengetahui apa yang sedang terjadi.
